OCEANMAN USA expands executive team as preparation for US series launch continues

May 5, 2025 – OCEANMAN, the world’s premier open water swimming series with a presence in 26 countries and 34 events across 5 continents and more than 45,000 swimmers worldwide, officially announced its expansion into the United States a few weeks ago. This new US based series, designed to promote health, active lifestyles, and international community through open water swimming, continues to build a strong foundation, welcoming two new members to their executive team.

This new initiative is designed to bring together people of all ages who value a healthy lifestyle, love to travel, and are passionate about staying active — whether they are lifelong swimmers or new to the sport of swimming. The series will prioritize accessible, well-organized events that welcome all levels of athlete and promote open water swimming as a path to wellness, adventure, and active longevity.

“We believe open water swimming is more than just a sport — it’s a way to embrace health, explore beautiful places, and connect with a like-minded community,” said Matt Dunn, who alongside partner Casey Taker are the newest members to the executive team of OCEANMAN USA. Matt Dunn and Casey Taker are well known in the swimming community for being the co-founders of Salty Sports Society. “We’re excited to help make OCEANMAN events a welcoming space for swimmers of all backgrounds and experience levels across the U.S.”

"Matt and Casey bring the right mix of experience, local understanding, and relationships to help us take OCEANMAN USA to the next level," said Lenny Krayzelburg, four-time Olympic gold medalist and partner of OCEANMAN USA. "They are a valuable team to lead all operations and destination partnerships to grow our presence across the country."

Lenny Krayzelburg, four-time Olympic gold medalist, founder of SwimRight Academy;

Dmytro Kachurovskyy, FINA Referee, former president of the Ukrainian Swimming Federation, Co-founder of SwimRight Academy Miami;

The events will feature not only races, but also training opportunities, wellness-focused activities, and meaningful experiences in scenic open water locations across the country.

“The heart of OCEANMAN has always been its people. We are proud to see our community grow around the world, connected by a shared love for open water challenges and the spirit of teamwork,” said Fermin Egido, Founder & CEO of OCEANMAN Global.
