2022 SERIES POINTS

Athletes have the opportunity to earn points by racing and completing Speedo SALT Series events throughout the year. These points will be awarded based on Age Group Standings for each event and will compile into points towards a year-end championship. Points are designed to encourage swimmers to challenge themselves to a variety of distances and try new events over the course of the year.

Join us in Dec to celebrate the season and raise a glass to our series champions at the Annual Buoy Ball, part of the Speedo SALT Series Southern Cross Weekend. Details on Buoy Ball will be released soon.

**Athletes must race at least 2 Speedo SALT Series events in 2022 to be eligible for year-end awards.

FAQs

How does the point system work?

Athletes earn points by finishing each event. Many events award a sliding scale of points based on the Age Group Place of that athlete at the event. Other events award a set number of points based on simply completing the event. Points are tallied throughout the year, and at the conclusion of the season, an Age Group Champion Award is given out to the athlete with the highest number of points in their age group.

How often are points updated?

Points will be updated no later than 5 days after a Series Event has concluded

Can I earn points at non-SALT Series events?

Points for the SALT Series can only be earned at events that are officially part of the SALT Series
